I just love fall in the Carolinas. Sunday was a perfect fall day. High around 70, crisp blue sky, enough breeze to shake loose some leaves. Gorgeous!

This is a beautiful maple in our side yard. I just about missed its peak, but it is still a stunning sight. I love the yellow against the bright blue.

Nature rarer uses yellow
Than another hue;
Saves she all of that for sunsets, --
Prodigal of blue.

Spending scarlet like a woman,
Yellow she affords
Only scantly and selectly,
Like a lover's words.
